The Group of Complex Fluids Physics at the University of Almeria (Spain) offers a
position for carrying out a PhD thesis in the field of Nanotechnology and Surfaces. The
position includes an initial two-year scholarship followed by a two-year contract. The 4
years coordinated project involves two academic teams working on experimental
aspects in the area of NanoScience, as well as an industrial team.
The research, which will be carried out at the University of Almeria (Almeria, Spain)
and Georgia Institute of Thechnology (Atlanta, USA), revolves around the design of
micro and nano-materials to improve bulk and surface properties of systems of
industrial interest.
Candidates are required to have a degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry or
Chemical Engineering, with a record well above average.
